The King's School Symphony Orchestra Autumn Concert

Sunday 17th November 2019, 19:45pm

The Shirley Hall, Canterbury,

The Autumn Concert in Canterbury is a new event for this year, presented by the Symphony Orchestra.

The programme opens with the Overture to J. Strauss' operetta,  Die Fledermaus , with its instantly recognisable melodies and wonderful waltzes. The grand opening movement of Beethoven's Piano Concerto no. 4 in G follows, with soloist Monet Kaneko (6a, LX), before the concert concludes with the Finale  from Brahms' First Symphony, with its rich string writing, alpine melodies and staggering orchestration.

This programme has something for everybody and is a showcase for the amazing talent of our young instrumentalists.

Tickets cost just £6 and can be purchased via the King's School Box Office.
